Plumbing is a profession

Plumbing can pay as well as or better than many professions (doctor, solicitor etc) and unlike those professions, it has many advantages! Not least – it is a lot cheaper to train to be a plumber than a lawyer!

It will cost you tens of thousands of pounds to train as a doctor or a lawyer. It will cost a fraction of this to become a plumber and the pay back time can be much faster!

Both men and women are suited to plumbing. A recent BBC1 documentary followed one 30 something female plumber from a professional background (advertising executive) and found how well she did in a traditionally male dominated industry.

One of our training partners female students, Natalie Barnett, was featured in The Observer 29 February 2004. At 29 years old, after quitting a career as a trader, she had no problem finding work as a plumber.
